World Smile Day – Sophie, Jadie, and Ivy
Ivy was born with an undiagnosed bilateral cleft lip and palate, the most severe cleft you can have. It was a huge shock, but after a few weeks of talking to the amazing cleft team at the hospital, receiving support from the CLAPA Charity and spending time with my beautiful girl, the shock slowly disappeared and we started to forget that she was different to other babies.

Huge News!
This is the first blog I’ve written for a while but I’m writing it at a very exciting time for CLAPA. We have recently found out that an application we submitted to the Big Lottery Fund was successful! The grant of £323,076 will enable us to continue to employ Regional Coordinators in the East, Central and South East of England.

Surgery and Anaesthesia Focus Groups
Surgery and anaesthesia are only performed when it is decided that the benefits are greater than the risks. Labratory and clinical research has shown that the addition of Xenon, a rare anaesthetic gas, may improve anaesthesia for young children.
