My name is Chris, when my brother was born he had a cleft palate that was unfortunately missed and not diagnosed. He grew up will speech problems and because of it was subject to bullying in school. When he was 5 it was finally noticed after years of trying that he had a cleft palate.

Straumann Go The Extra Mile For CLAPA!
Straumann UK like a challenge, so to prove it they have committed themselves to raising a significant amount of money for charity by organising a bike ride from their headquarters in Basel, Switzerland to their UK offices in Crawley, West Sussex - a mere 600 miles in six days!

CLAPA’s Branch Strategy

Emily’s Story
"We were delighted to discover we were expecting our second child in the summer of 2011. I had a fairly straightforward pregnancy and normal scans throughout. Our daughter Isabelle was born on 21st April 2012 at 00.52AM, coming quite unexpectedly on her due date. Her birth was very fast and when they handed her to me I couldn't believe how tiny she was at 5lb 9oz.

Trekkers Conquer Annapurna Circuit
Jay and Lisa-Marie Bush took up the challenge of an unguided trek of the Nepalese Annapurna Circuit during October-November 2012 after Lisa-Marie's cousin Lesley had a child with a cleft.
