Hesed’s Story
Hesed was born with a cleft lip and palate and experienced difficulties with his speech for the first few years of his life. Now older and propelled on by quarantine, Hesed has recently created his very own YouTube channel called 'When Kids Talk' (with support from mum and dad)! Here's his story so far, as told by him.

Research Summary: Interpersonal Relationships in Adults with Cleft
CLAPA's 'Whole of Life' survey in 2018 asked adults in the UK who were born with a cleft all about their experiences, including the impact of their cleft on their personal relationships. This paper looks at the results of this survey in detail and considers what the findings might mean for the UK cleft community.

Cleft Appointments During Lockdown
NHS Cleft Teams around the UK have reported that in the months since they’ve started to resume services, more people than usual are missing important appointments. These are known as ‘Did Not Attends’ (DNA) or ‘Was Not Brought’ (WNB) for children. We know there are many reasons why people might miss appointments or cancel them altogether, and together with the Cleft Teams we want to do what we can to help.
