#FundraisingFriday – Lennon’s Fundraising Story

December 15, 2017

Lennon’s mum got in touch with us, to tell us all about his brilliant fundraising efforts.

“Lennon attends 1st Kettering Scouts, a group which provides the boys with a variety of activities ranging from night hikes, environmental projects and much more. Recently, Lennon took part in a 2 day bike ability training course covering bike maintenance and road safety. On the second day, the scouts were told they were going to take part in a 20 mile bike ride. A new challenge for Lennon, he asked if he could ask for sponsors to raise money for CLAPA.

Lennon has been involved in fundraising for Clapa before. He took part in a Junior Iron Run a few years ago, and raised over £500, which made him feel really happy and proud. When I asked Lennon why he wanted to do this, his reply was “because they do so much for me and lots of others, so I want to give something back to CLAPA”. Lennon even donated himself!

I had to agree with him, CLAPA are such an amazing team of people, that show so much care and support to everyone with and affected by a cleft lip and/or palate. Without them we wouldn’t be at the stage we are today.

So thank you to you all, you are doing such an amazing job.”

Thanks, Lennon!
