Help CLAPA create a new future for volunteering
Can you help us create our new volunteer strategy?
We’re looking for volunteers to join our co-development group, which will help us formulate our new volunteer strategy at CLAPA.
Join our six-week co-development group at CLAPA as we co-create the future of volunteering in our community. You’ll be helping us develop our new volunteer strategy. To do that well we’d like our co-development group to represent all the many different experiences and identities of our community.
At CLAPA, we believe co-production is important, as it allows us to work alongside people with lived experiences to design and deliver our services, ensuring they are more relevant, effective, and person-centered.
You’ll help us to create:
- CLAPA’s new volunteer strategy
- A new community of engaged volunteers with a collective experience ready to make change happen
- New ways of being a volunteer and making change at CLAPA
- Different approaches and new opportunities for volunteering at CLAPA
You’ll Gain:
- Deep connections and new friends in the CLAPA community across the UK
- New skills in community building and policy creation
- Knowledge and insights into modern lived experiences of others in the CLAPA community
- Presentation and change-making experience
“The whole experience was informative, challenging and uplifting – one of the best series of sessions I have had in long time.”

- A wide variety of lived and volunteer experiences, opinions, insights and identities
- Folks that want change and what to be a part of making that change happen
- People that share their insights and experience while being flexible and willing to learn
- Basic IT literacy, experience using zoom, email and with a willingness learn to use online whiteboards (training provided)
- People that can maintain confidentiality
- Community members that can and are open to respectful challenge
