Who is this event for?
This conference is for adults born with a cleft. Each adult attendee can bring up to two additional guests, such as friends or family members.
This event is not aimed at parents, carers or families of young children born with a cleft.
Clinicians and researchers are welcome to attend, but should keep in mind that this is not a medical conference and the primary focus will be on supporting, informing and empowering adults born with a cleft.
“[The most important thing I got from the event was] meeting people – sharing with people, feeling that you are not alone, feeling that you are part of a community. Zoom meetings are fine and necessary but nothing can replace the physical interaction with other human beings in the flesh. The presentations also gave good tips for dental hygiene and psychological well being.”

Price
Information on ticket prices will be available soon. Tickets will be heavily subsidised by CLAPA to keep the price as low as possible and encourage more adults to attend.
What’s included
Lunch, tea/coffee, biscuits and pastries are included in the cost of your ticket.
All workshops and talks are available to all attendees (though some workshops will run simultaneously).
These tickets do NOT include accommodation. We regret that we cannot pay travel or accommodation expenses for attendees.

This was my first event with CLAPA, and I was in a very supportive and caring environment. I was really happy to have received a lot of useful information from the team, which had a wealth of knowledge they were happy to share; I can’t thank them enough.
