Research Opportunity: People with Nasal Speech

March 18, 2020

Update: 29th July 2020 – This study is once again looking for participants. If you haven’t yet completed the survey, now’s your chance!

A Speech and Language Therapist with Salisbury Cleft Team is helping to produce and evaluate a device called a ‘nasal obturator’ which is designed to help people with nasal speech.

A clinical trial of this device is starting soon, but in the meantime the team are hoping to hear from a range of people who are negatively affected by nasal speech, but for whom surgical treatment isn’t an option.

This short, anonymous survey will ask about your experiences with nasal speech, and about your thoughts and feelings on a device like this nasal obturator.
