Health Professionals
We are happy to announce that we have received funding for the first ever full time Regional Coordinator. This post will be for the East of England region covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and parts of Lincolnshire, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire.
The remit of this post is to:-
- Increase volunteering by recruiting and supporting volunteers
- Create a local support network for people with clefts and their families
- Set up local support groups in areas where they do not currently exist
- Make presentations to schools, WI, rotary clubs, churches etc to raise awareness of the impact of the condition and the work we do
- Expand CLAPA's presence in the regions
- Provide training and information for generic health professionals (sonographers, midwives and GPs)
- Provide and train a representative voice for patients
- Work in partnership with NHS Cleft teams and other voluntary organisations
- Encourage corporate responisibility
