CLAPA Campaigns: Access to NHS Dental Care Survey

February 28, 2025

We’re excited to share that CLAPA is embarking on a new journey into the world of policy and campaigning.

This is a brand-new area of work for us, and we’re eager to ensure it reflects the real challenges and priorities of the cleft community. We are going to work tirelessly to ensure that the voices of our community are heard loud and clear

Your input will play a vital role in shaping our strategy and helping us focus on the issues that matter most to you. By sharing your experiences and ideas, you can help us create a powerful voice for change and make a real difference for everyone affected by cleft conditions.

In the last few years, we’ve heard from many of you who’ve had problems accessing NHS dental care, especially for cleft-related issues. We want to learn more about the kind of problems you’ve been having so we can better understand how to help.

This survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete, and your responses will remain confidential.

Thank you for being part of this exciting new chapter for CLAPA.

Who can take part?

This survey is for people with a strong personal connection to cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom:

  • Young people aged 16-17 born with a cleft
  • Parents and carers of children of any age born with a cleft
  • Expectant parents (including adoptive)
  • Relatives (e.g. grandparents) of children born with a cleft of any age
  • Partners/spouses of people born with a cleft

What to expect

This survey will take 5-15 minutes to complete. Most questions are optional, but the more detail you can give us, the better!

Your answers will remain 100% anonymous. To help us with this, please don’t include any identifying information like names or contact details in your answers.
