About Cleft Lip & Palate

Guidelines on grommets

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) has just published a report on grommets for the treatment of glue ear in children.

This is a comprehensive report and CLAPA has been involved in its compilation. Children born with cleft palate are more likely to have glue ear, and to have it for a longer period of time, than children without cleft palate.  This report provides an overview of the role grommets play in the treatment of  glue ear
