Hi I am writing this on behalf of a friend.  Her daughter is almost two years old now and was diagnosed as having a cleft palate (complete) as well as PRS.

She has just had some blood taken for a chromosome analysis called comparative genome hybridisation (think I have spelled that correctly!) the blood samples were taken as a specialist thinks there is some “matter” missing? She refused to comment further until the tests results are back.

Does anybody have any idea what this “matter” could be.  It is worrying my friend, particularly as the specialist refused to comment further.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance,

Mike Potts

Hiya,

Sorry I don’t have any idea what ‘matter’ missing means. I’m heading in to see a geneticist in a couple of weeks so if anything like that comes up I’ll ask what it means.

Hope your friend gets a good response.

Dee
