Hello to you all today.

The arm of my sunglasses broke a few days ago, so I went into our local opticians and they fixed them there and then. While I was waiting I chatted with the two receptionists who said they were short staffed, I said I could help out, so last Tuesday had an interview then heard on thursday that they wanted  to offer me the job, so back I go yesterday to sort out a three day week starting next tuesday. I have to work every Saturday so that is the only downer but never mind T spends most of the day in bed so at least I will have something to do.

I’m a bit nervouse at the prospect of meeting new people everyday but also strangly looking forward to it. I haven’t worked for about three yrs so that in itself is going to be a challenge. Yesterday I spent two hours there and had loads of fun so it seems like a happy place, all our family have been going there for 24yrs so it isn’t as if we don’t know them at all.

I didn’t even tell T or the kids about it untill they offered me the job so they were all abit surprised.

Well I have waffled enough,  I Just thought it would be nice to post it here first as clapa helped me and through them I met loads of great people.

That’s fantastic! Do you have time to work? With kids, T, the allotment, the nightingales etc. etc. etc! How wonderful to have a job come to you.

I discovered at a late stage how much I enjoy working! I’d always thought I was fulfilled at home with the kids. I hope you find it all as enjoyable as I do. It sounds like fun.
