I will have to agree with you on this subject.
I was born with the lot and I would really have to consider the stats before deciding on kids due to the trauma that I went through as a child.
I’m simply not sure I could go through it all again.
It has nothing to do with the ability of loving the child. If I was to find myself pregnant to a child with CLAP then we would get through it, but surely it is purely my decision whether or not to risk it and to prepare myself for the possibility of that happening.
It is a thoughts and actions of a responsible adult/ parent to be to look into these things before making a child. The law doesn’t state that we must become parents. I personally think that it is irrisponsible to bring children into this world if you feel that you can handle it.

I was told back in Denmark that often it jumps generations - so people with CLAP don’t necessary get a child with one, but when they have a child the chances are higher, but this is information from 15 years back - so that might have changed.
