October sees ‘the winds of change' blowing through CLAPA National. Rosanna Preston, our CEO, has decided to take reduced working hours for the next year and will be working two days per week on specific projects. Her new title will be Lead on User Involvement and amongst other things she will be introducing new ways of involving members in research projects and NHS Cleft Network boards. She will also be undertaking a review of all information that is provided by CLAPA and the Cleft Teams. Sue Carroll will be taking over the CEO role for this period.
Edit Walsh, our Finance Officer, will become National Office Manager as of 1st November 2011 and she will be taking on many of Sue's former responsibilities. She will be assisted by a new part-time administrator.
The pilot project for the East of England Coordinator comes to an end in January 2012 and Claire Cunniffe, who is currently in post, will then be appointed as National Coordinator for a one year period. During this time she will be responsible for submitting funding applications for a further three regional coordinators and expanding our regional presence.
So as you can see it will be an interesting and extremely busy year. If you would like to speak to any of the CLAPA team about their new roles, and how they might affect you, please do not hesitate to contact them as they are always happy to have an informal chat. Click here for contact details.
